Management Team

  • Dean G. Anthon co-founded Sophance in 2010. At Sophance, Mr. Anthon leverages his business development, management, and financial experience to help clients analyze and implement energy solutions for the twenty-first century.

    Mr. Anthon has over 20 years of investment experience, predominately in the leveraged buy-out and private equity markets. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Anthon was an associate with Sun Capital Partners, a Florida-based leveraged buy-out firm. From 1999-2001, Mr. Anthon was an associate and business development manager with Puntocom Holdings, a Buenos Aires, Argentina-based holding company involved in making equity investments in Latin American technology companies.

    In 2002, Mr. Anthon founded Naxion LLC, an Argentina-based import/export company, where he served as president until 2006. From 2006 thru 2010, Mr. Anthon was the Chief Investment Officer of Sundance Capital Management, primarily responsible for the investment philosophy and decisions of the hedge fund’s investment products. Additionally, he was a Managing Director of LivFre LLC, a privately held, information privacy advocacy start-up venture.

    Mr. Anthon received a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Anthon lived and worked in South America for over 10 years and is fluent in Spanish.

  • Ted C. Ginsberg co-founded Sophance in 2010. Having spent more than 40 years developing real estate, Mr. Ginsberg brings a wealth of experience and strategic contacts to Sophance.

    Mr. Ginsberg started his career practicing real estate law, joining the firm of Commanor and Stein in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he practiced real estate law. Mr. Ginsberg left the practice of law to form a real estate development company, Landmark Equities, as a principal. Landmark created approximately $40 million of owner-operated real estate projects.

    In 1974, the co-founder of Landmark Equities retired and Mr. Ginsberg formed Tedco Equities to continue his real estate development activities, and he went on to develop over $350 million of projects, including office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, and residential properties.

    Beginning in 1994, Mr. Ginsberg, along with another partner, added master franchisees to the mix by developing and opening nine Cinnabon Bakeries and one Seattle’s Best Coffee throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and West Virginia (all in regional mall locations).

    Mr. Ginsberg received a J.D. degree from the Temple University School of Law and a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
